Ste You are lucky, I used to work for Virgin as a network engineer and as a result got free BB at the max speed at that time. As virgins BB service is not restricted by BT's network (home to exchange anyway) You are going to get faster speeds. I have noticed the drop in speed since I no longer live in a telewest/virgin franchise and have to use BT network.(copper )

50meg is well worth it, not just for the extra bandwidth but for the fact that it runs on a seperae network to all their other packages and is not throttled at any point, is not monitored for download limits and as you don't share a total bandwidth with your neighbours doesn't get congested. Since we moved to it here everything has screamed along without a problem. If you do get it make sure the engineer does a proper speed test with the newmodem connected direct to your PC, if you are getting less than 45meg then they need to rehit the modem to set the speed correctly, don't let him leave until you do get a speed of 45 meg or above. The installation support guys still have no idea what they are doing and keep hitting them with 20 or 30 meg signals
