Am i the only 1 who hates Ipods and iphones

I hate them too. I think they're overpriced novelties. I have a Blackberry Torch. Much better than the new iPhone, and cheaper too. Only problem is the lack of apps for it. Everyone seems to think that only iPhone and Android phones use apps. Damn annoying...especially as only apps from Blackberry App World. :cry:

I have the Torch as well James, although Orange wanted more for that than they did for the Iphone4 at the time. The apps thing doesn't bother me to be honest, I just like the way it works

I'm on Vodafone. The phone itself was free on a £35 per month 2yr deal. 600 min, 500 txt and 1gb data. Not bad since the iPhone had upfront payment and more per month.

Why do people slate other phones just because a certain type of phone does not suit them personally :roll:

Its just a matter of taste and what suits you and your lifestyle :wink:

This can be applied to most things in life, think about it, the world isn't that bad :lol:

I often think of Steve as Gandhi - without the flip flops and large nappy obviously.

I've had IPhone for about a year now,no probs and it does have Bluetooth ITunes is pain in the neck though :drink:

I've never had anything apple I think nearly all their stuff is a rip off, once you buy their iphone they 'own you' making you use itunes etc etc. I have an Android powered phone and love it.

I've seen people on the train with ipads and I just think to myself 'WHY?" surely it'd be more practical to get a Samsung N10 laptop or something. Again I think it's just to show off but seems an expensive way to play solitaire to me.

furball totally agree with you, when ever they have a tech face off with an Apple product in it I switch off because I know it'll win.

My daughter has an Iphone ....... I think they are overpriced and absolutely awful (3 replacement screens in 4 months????)
I got myself (and my lad) the Orange "San Francisco".
The screen resolution is AMAZING on them, way better than anything "apple".
Great Android apps too - Bluetooth OBD on mine!
The satnav is brilliant too - via google maps, even shows you a photo of the place your looking for!

ive got the sony ericsson xperia x10i great phone but poo battery life ive rooted it and installed a few apps and now never pay for any apps :wink:

I had a 3G iPhone for 2 years the longest Iv'e ever kept a phone without it breaking and my son has had it for 3months now and it's still going strong even with it's woeful battery life.
I now have an iPhone 4 better battery life but not much better than the early models otherwise.
Both have been work phones so haven't cost me personally.

The best phone I ever had was a HTC I loved that phone but the screen got fried in the sun on holiday.

On the iPad debate I was more impressed with the Samsung tablet a friend of mine has especially the free sat nav that uses google maps you can see the turning' as pictures not just red or blue lines much easier to follow and a massive amount of free apps which you can download from different site's and not just one.

fair comment mate as you say you all have your own opinion 1 of the best phones i ever had must of been the nokia 6230i and the nokia rubber fone i forgot the identification number, but they were good fone and best thing was that rubber phone was brilliant for work

wow and it continues apple relead and ipad aimed at girls/women money makin machines whos with me

well i always took the mickey out of the "there's an app for that " adverts and swore i would never have an iphone cos i hated iTunes but then i got an iPhone 3G and to be honest i've never looked back i upgraded from an LG Viewty and man what a difference easier to use millions of apps the best one being Angry Birds :lol:

and i've gotten used to the way it all works because i gave it a chance and now i'm trying to save for the iPhone4 but the fronty is draining all my cash at the moment but i'll get there

Personnel choice really, have to admit I don't like them or anything else from the Apple stable either really. Its all a load of over hyped, over priced and cheaply made junk.

Apple are a bit like AOL, they seem to think the world rotates around them and their products, the softwear once put on a PC is like a bloody virus, it seems to try and infest everything in sight and take over default rights for all media etc and don't even mention the auto upgrade part of it :sick:

Phone wise, I use a Nokia N95 (the proper one, the one where you can put a memory card in etc) had it ever since they were first released (2007) have to admit the orange softwear is :sick:

but theres a way around that by unlocking the phone, re-setting the country and wiping it, then putting the OEM softwear in :wink:

2 cameras, one a 5 megapixel jobby, GPS, web browsing, email, up to 16gb storage via plug in card etc etc brilliant. and then Apple tipped up with the iphone in 2007/8 and a shed load of tv advertising/cold call marketing/newspaper ads etc etc all saying that their phone is the latest and has the best and is the only one that... etc

Didnt really want to downgrade to a phone with only a 2 megapixel camera, and less functionality (the only plus bit was the touch screen) so never bothered and still won't as the N95 is still going strong, does me for day to day use, I can take pics and have them sat on my desk top ready for when I get back to the office.

Reckon I will upgrade in the next few months though, N8 for me next time. Apple :butt:

Rather have a laptop than an iPad - you cant slam the lid on an iPad when the wife walks in and your doing 'research' on the internet.. :rotfl:

Im not a fan of them but like others my biggest gripe is itunes, ipod i would have iphone i wouldnt the other half has an iphone and i hate it. HTC are my preffered choice of smart phone, like the Android os, currently using Windows Phone 7 and happy with the phone and os but there are things i would like that microsoft say no to.
