Android Geek needed

I have got a 10inch tablet running on android 4.0.4. The thing died last week. I had let the battery run flat during an update i had to get in touch with the company that make them. They sent me out a micro sd card with the FW on it which got the tablet working. But now the usb is not working on it.

It's got a micro usb and a normal usb port it's still connecting to the laptop via the micro usb port. But the normal sized one is not recognizing a memory stick or usb keyboard/mouse they connected before the tablet crashed. There is no damage to the usb ports anyone got an idea how to fix this problem.

The tablet is a ergoelectronics GoTab GBT1040r model Number T10A

Is there an option for a soft reset? its usually a hole you stick a cocktail stick in or something like that. This should be like booting up but a bit better and it may them read the aux ports.

thought about that ste they do put a reset button on the tablet but it does Fook all according to gotab its not a reset button

Are all the updates installed?
I had a job getting the Sony S to see a memory card but updated it and it saw it.

update to latest then do a factory reset

i have got the latest software/Firmware as supplied by the company that make the tablet they sent it out on a micro sd card.

go into the settings menu and down the bottom there should be an option for back up and reset
go into there and select factory data reset

all ready tried that m8

the tablet was not booting up so the manufacturers sent out the FW on a memory card. You have to put the card in the slot turn on the tablet let it do it's stuff That worked
and the tablet booted up. But the USB OTG is not working
