ive downloaded skype onto my xperia phone, i was under the impression that i could then make free video calls but there dosent appear to be (to me anyway) a video call facilty in the menu
can anyone shed any light ?

Assuming you've got the same version of Skype as me, then you sign in, go to "Contacts", and after selecting who you wish to talk to you get a choice of actions - voice or video call, send an instant message, or send a file.

hi jim, thats the problem, when i choose the contact i only have the choice of voice call im or more (send files etc) i idont have the video call facilty. i downloaded the app straight to my phone rather than through my laptop etc so would that make a difference ?

Most xperia's don't have a forward facing camera so this is why you cant video call with skype

Oh well in that case its because your phone hates you!
Or it could be because Skype doesn't have support for your handset yet... There should be an option in the playstore somewhere to email them with questions....

un & reinstalled it and now the video call feature is in place - thanks guys
