After all the trials and tribulations of the first few weeks of ownership of my 2.2 DTI Sport, it turns out these things are a laugh a minute and put a huge grin on your face.
I spent the day wandering around the Lincolnshire Wolds in it today, yes the rides a bit choppy at low speeds (short wheelbase) but there's not much wrong with them once they're working properly. They're never going to be a road rocket with 115bhp but keep shifting and riding the torque, let the body roll and the grin starts.....drifting on wet roundabouts is funny as you like, all in slow motion.
Blasted down various unmade roads at it has to be said, daft speeds. Bit of steering deflection but hold on tight and it ploughs along quite happily through forest quagmire and rough dirt tracks. Nothing fell off or packed in ..... apart from the dash but after reading the "how too fixes" on the site i'll whip it out and do the solder thing tomorrow, side lights sorted it today.
Anyroad....looks like I'm a convert, no more whingeing or whinging from me. No where near as gutsy as a big RR or X5 but that really doesn't matter, it's about the ability of the thing, and it's a laugh a minute for tiny money.
