Hi all.
I won't be on fog much due to health reasons but I will check in now and then, maybe to keep the fog family up to date. I'm not even on Facebook much these days either. I was diagnosed with liver disease which has now turned into an enlarged liver and an enlarged bioduct. I've had MRI, CT scans and I'm waiting to find out what the results are, as I don't know what is going to happen yet. If I sit for to long, I'm in pain and I end up laying up in bed.
Many thanks. Dave.

Thankyou guys. I will keep you all updated as and when I've got up dates. I won't be a stranger.
For those of our fog family don't know much about liver disease, but you have been watching the storyline with Phil Mitchell in EastEnders, then that is what I've got but it's not the later stages yet, which is what I don't want to happen. Mine is not due to alcohol, as my liver was tested for that and my liver isn't scarred. Anyone can get liver disease, whether they drink alcohol or not.

Thankyou all for your kind words. Here is an update.
Got a letter today about the results from my CT scan.
"This gentleman underwent a CT scan of his pancreas with contrast. He has fat infiltration in his liver making it enlarged to 22cms compatible with fatty liver. He does not have any abnormalities to suggest cirrhosis of the liver. His portal vein is patent and his spleen is of normal size. His NAFLD score is -0.250 calculated based on his age, body mass index, ALT, AST, platelet and albumin count making it unlikely to have any fibrosis of scarring in his liver at this moment in time. He obviously needs to address his weight to improve the fat infiltration in his liver. I will await the results of his faecal elastase to decide further follow up.
Dr Hasnain Jafferbhoy. Consultant Gastroenterologist."
Why can't these idiots just write it in layman's terms instead of fancy words. I actually hate the consultants attitude.

Sorry to hear your off colour matey. Time to slow down a bit, look after yourself, take it easy... And do what the docs tell ya!
Oh and nip in here when you feel up to it, need a rant or just want some down time. Most of all get your self better. Good luck.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ) Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... I'm trying to take things easy but it's not as easy as it sounds, as my missus is disabled.

Thankyou all for your comments. This is why I like fog better than any other Frontera sites, the amount of great advice, help and concern for members is awesome. If it wasn't for the owner, admin and mods we would not have the biggest Frontera family going. I take my hat off to all who help with the day to day running of fog, it can't be easy but well done everyone for creating the Frontera family world wide. Going to sign off for a few days, as I'm in pain.
