With 4 cars in the family I want to get an OBD reader, are they all of a muchness or can anyone recommend a good one.

you can get any number of OBD2 compliant units,, These will give you basic engine fault codes..

Something like this will work with most cars..

I have one and for quick checks its ok. used it on Ford, VX, and a couple of other main brands.. did not work on SsangYong :lol:

But everything else will most likely be OK, you can ask the seller for the brands of car you have before purchase.

Dont expect anything other than Engine Faults, it will not see Airbags or anything else.
