Heaters/Blowers always HOT

Postby BarnsleyTom86 on Fri Dec 09, 2016 10:03 pm

Hi all,

I've bought a second Frontera and it's a bit of a dog. I can fix most of the niggles but the blowers are always hot. Even when turned down they are still warm. I pulled the nob off the panel to make sure it was turned all the way down and it is.

I take it there is a valve that is controlled by the panel. Are any of them common to fail? And where is valve? I changed one on a fiesta once so I know kinda how they work.

Thanks in advance

Better to have heaters on than not working :) especially while it's still cold. You can always open the window.I had a miserable few days recently with no heat, well strictly speaking no fan. The cab got warmer gradually when I was driving but made it unpleasant in the morning with not being able to blast the windscreen. I resoldered the thingy in the ducting behind the glovebox and it worked again thankfully .
Hope it's an easy fix.
