Tyres are macho`s, from sowden tyres, size is 255 70 16`s , and suspension is from explorer pro comp. springs for rear, torsion bar wind up on front ( diy 8 full turns of adjuster) and plus 2" shocks for rear. Not bothered fitting shocks to front yet as it seems to be coping alright so far.

yorkshire/lincolnshire meetings

Postby SCIMITARGTC on Mon Apr 02, 2007 6:51 pm

Had a 2.4 petrol LWb for a few months, used it just to tow daughters horsey stuff a few miles & not really sure what I've got - is it really a good 'un average or pure sh**e & would like to compare it to others - based in Goole & wondered if anyone fancied a 'my mirrors are shinier than yours' couple of hours around DN14/15/17

Hi all - another newbie from Hull here 8)

Just traded my 1993 LWB V6 Shogun in for a 51-plate 2.2 LWB Frontera. Not sure I've done the right thing so would appreciate you guys convincing me otherwise

I would be interested to find out if the previous owner is a member on here so I can find out any more info about the car I've just bought. So if you're from the Hull area and you've just sold a silver LWB 51-plate 2.2 Limited give me a shout!!!

Cheers,
Lofty

Good point! The Shogun wasn't particularly economical so I'm expecting the Frontera is going to be a lot cheaper to run!

Hiya... new on the forum. Live in Hebden Bridge near Halifax but spend a lot of time up at Hawes in the dales renovating a barn up there. Frontera is doing a great job luggin' building materials around and towing trailer loads of rubble away etc. When I get chance I pop out over the byways around Hawes. They're all seem pretty tame but thats good as I can't afford to knacker the car up at the moment. Just nice to get off the beaten track.
I see that a lot of you guys have been round Langdale Quest. I was lucky enough to go last November, We went round the "Wild Encounter II" circuit in a 110 Defender pick-up I had at the time. Got to say it was great fun but not that wild or testing and all on publicly accessable tracks and green lanes so you could go at anytime. Have any of you fellas been round that circuit in a Frontera? You guys with 2" lifts would breeze round it!

Just noticed you've got a 3" lift on there Marlboroman!! It was a bit dry when I went, lots of fun all the same, but I'd like to see it after some rain. :)
I've no plans for drastic mods on mine, some ATs when these road tryes wear out (I do too many road miles for MTs) and perhaps a snorkel at some point.
