3 Days Laning In August

Postby colley on Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:48 pm

I have not set a date as yet due to work commitments, but i am thinking of planning a trip at the end of august :D
I want to use this trip as a bit of a shake down before my trip to morocco in October
The plan is to camp on the Thursday evening near machynlleh.

Friday Day 1
Start from Machynlleh do some good local lanes then pick up some lanes heading towards Aberystwyth, then finish the day in Rhayader and camp.

Saturday Day 2
Lane around the Rhayader area and finish the day near Kington and camp.

Sunday Day 3
Lane around the Kington area and finish the weekend near Craven arms.

Just thought i would put this trip out there to see if there is any interest. Dont want to run loads of groups so would be a maximum of 6 trucks for the weekend.

I'd be up for this one Colley...
Always fancied a spot of laning in Wales, but I don't know what's good to do and its a long way to go on short notice.

I'll follow developments with this one, but for now count me in.

Everyone has to start somewhere bud, and atleast you would be with a good group of guys that could help you out in any situation you may end up in
What mods do you have on the truck as some of the lanes in these areas can be abit technical?
The truck does most of the work, you just need to have a little confidence in it and yourself and youll be fine

Put me down for this if there's space please, it would be good to use it as a shakedown for the main event in October, camping laning then camping in a different location each day.

Just one thing I have a confession to make :

My name is Gary Horne and I am a Land Rover owner, well that feels better now I've got that off my chest :D
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.
