I'm hoping to get up for the next one on 16/17th July. More than welcome to tag along with me bud.

Stuart...looks like an amazing weekend was had by all. Such a shame I had no reddies to tag along. Oh well, there's always July...I'll hopefully be there to pull you out!

Very surprised there aren't more members from here who are also members of SMC, if I'm honest. Quite a few Scottish lads/lasses on here. We should all join SMC, and invade Drumclog one weekend. REALLY show those Landy/Jimny folk what our trucks are capable of.

The only thing with clog is the lack of amenties. We usually have atleats porta loos and pallets (for bonfire) delivered. The rest is up to you. There is a town strathaven whish is about 6 miles drive. It has sainsburies and fuel . it also has take aways and shops , pubs. Its only for the hadiest of campers . Some people bring generators for their carvans tent etc.
Our next scottish mud club meets at clog is july although i dare say there will be many mini adhoc days . Might be one at end of month as there is some going to co glen which is winch and memebrs only required event. those that cant go proberly go to clog gives me time to try sort my auto hubs.

Thats good that there wasnt much problems getting the caravans off the campsite. 8) I will try and get to Drumclog sometime and get the white paint work muddy but I reckon my caravan could get mudder than my motor.

Club members and forum members are two diffrent things . Is a tenner for the year and you can sign up on the day. On main club events only members can drive due to the MSA rules two of mates came an were passengers and were made more than welcome .
On non club main events any one can turn up the more is always better usually a post asking any one wanting to go offroading on the forum and a list of names is made sometime people just turn up.

"All SMC ran events will have MSA permits in place.
If permits are late/don't arrive, events will have to be delayed/cancelled.
Only membership card holders of the SMC will be allowed to drive at SMC organised events.
Saftey/Driver briefs will be held and must be attended by all, prior to heading onto site.
SMC recommend First Aid Kits, Fire Extinguisher are carried in trucks
The above is intended for everyones saftey. If you can not commit to the above please do not attend."

means non members are welcome just cant drive. Its not a personal snobbery thing its msa rules. You could turn up pay your ten pound membership fee you would of got you card and sticker on the day. The forum is diffrent its open to all and it has a restricted members section. In a way i prefer it that way that way you know who you camping and driving with should anything happen on main events .
Any one can use or view the forum some are not honest and you dont want them turning up causing trouble or something especial when you have familes there and personal belongings never mind the for health n saftey issue.
