Here's my contributions to the day....

To summarise the day - this video describes it best.....

And here's some pic's taken in between all the rain...

Pic's taken with my mobile, so not the best quality, but sure Keith or Jen will put up better ones.

All in all, an extremely wet day, but we all had a good laugh, and we sure bonded in them gazebo's!!

Laura all comfy and cosy

First of all Thanks to Keith for organising this brilliant day out. It was great to put faces to all the names.
Even although it rained it did not put a dampner on the day. The Fronty's were the last to leave.
Our gazebos held their own and are still standing to see another great day.

Sorry for those who were not able to make it, maybe next time.

Thanks again Ash and Jen

oh brilliant pic's there Daz, Ash and Jen.... and yes, that is me with the brolly, as it actually did rain inside the gazebo!

It was so so windy, we thought we were gonna get blown off the road on the way there. She definately lifted at one point, and it was rather scary... but well worth it!

Absolutely fantastic day, we were laughing throughout the day, as we enjoyed the company. Never got around to much Fronty tech talk, as just to wet, but we'll do that the next time. Plus once home, Helga is not feeling to well, so will have a proper look tomorrow as just too tired the now. Will be asking for your advice on the new noise she is now making, as sure don't sound to healthy..... :?:

I really enjoyed today with such great company.
Thanks to you all for helping to make it a success. A huge thanks to Ash and Jen for doing a great job in organising the food.
This was such a good day that we have taken a joint decision to make this an annual Scottish meet. (Our Bala)
Hope you all made it home safely, and enjoy the photos.
BTW, the smoke was the BBQ, not Dazz's car. :D

Absolutely brilliant. Well done all of you. AND NOW IT BEGINS.
It's that first step that gives reason to all those other ones; no matter where they lead.
If you want Jesse Rae to come along next time just let me know as he owes me and it niggles.
On the other hand maybe not.

For those south of the border, this is how mad we get but we still like you in a Frontera or not.
Me and the Shepherdess did the sound for him all over the place but he "wouldn't touch his feet on English soil or take off his mask in public, till Scotland was free." I suggested the upturned shield full of Scottish soil and the warriors carrying it but it was a bit tooo Asterix for him.
Does limit the market potential a wee bit but 10 out of 10 for determination.

Get the sounds on and crank it up. Here he is and he is mad.

If you are doing it again I have a mate with a big wee sound system who can be armlocked into coming along and enjoying himself.

I would just like to thank everyone who turned up at this event.
I was impressed at the level of friendship from absolutely everyone, considering it was a first time introduction for most.
A huge huge thanks has to go to Ash and his lovely wife Jen for offering to help out by supplying the food.
It has occured to me that arrangements for financial help were overlooked before we departed. So we will have sort that out.
Sorry Ash.
The attitude and commeradory within the camp was brilliant and made up for the dreadful weather we had.
It was a good laugh, and for all the years I have attended this show, this was the first time I never actually saw it, spending all my time with you guys.
Looking at the resulting photos of our vehicles, I have to say that all that smoke was deffinately from the BBQ, and not from Dazz's car. :D :D :butt:
Lots of hilarity was involved in keeping hold of the 2 gazebos when the wind got up to its worst. We even had Ken (Fishingmad) move his car around to the side to try and block the wind a bit. (Didnt work though) :D
I got caught out when trying to make a cup of coffee under the area where the 2 gazebos met. Not a good idea, as I was hammered by a deluge of water that went straight down the back of my neck. Yuk, horrible.
Everyone else seemed to think it was funny though.
It was my job to supply the BBQ, and guess what? I forgot to bring the utensils. Doh
So a big thanks goes to Ken for arranging to get his daughter to nip to ASDA and buy some new ones. She and her partner and Scooby spent the rest of the day with us. Cracking dog BTW.
I'm glad that all the effort has paid off, and that we took a collective decision to make this our annual Scottish meet. It is very central and makes it reasonably easy for all to get to.
I hope next year we get a much bigger turn out, as when the weather cleared, we generated quite a bit of interest from the public.
It was also nice to see what everyone does to their cars, as we all have different ideas.
We didnt manage to get much done in the way of fixes and small jobs. But we did get Dazz's new rig tuned in for him.
I'm glad we all enjoyed ourselves and thanks to you all. I look forward to our next meet which is being planned for a month or two away.
Regards.
Keith.

i second everything you have said there keith but it wasnt only
me and jen who supplied the food big dazz and his wife laura
also bought food and ken(fishingmad)also brought some venison
yum yum and sziren brought some swedish sausage. but i think
everyone had a cracking day out despite the weather and the
biggest thanks go to you keith for organising the whole thing
without your time and effort the whole day out may never have
happened and everyone will agree with me on that so well done
even though i peeded myself when that water went down your neck   .
