I'd attend a bi-monthly or tri-monthly meet but not a monthly one :)

i had thought about that but thought a POLL would help thats why i made POLL for people to VOTE so we get an idea of what people want then we can go from there hence the NO option in case im not making my self clear vote no then

I voted for YES - at it would be fantastic, but there will naturally be many factors to consider, as in location, work commitments etc etc etc
Staying positive though, as would be great to have a monthly, or even every 2nd or 3rd month.... so that most people can attend at least a handful every year or so....

As domino will tell you at the owners meet on the site he runs they have a meet end of every month an its done North one month , South the next ,East and West to cater for every one so at least members can attend a meet nearest to them ,people add thier name an usually names either get removed as unable to attend or names get added nearer the time.
This poll give people a chance to vote an give thier suggestion/opinions it will also see if people are intrested in having meets.
i wont attend every meet or organise every meet im a full time carer for my disabled wife an son who has autism so we have alot of courses an appointments to attend plus they have good days an bad day so i cannot comit to every meet either just cause i say monthly doesn`t mean people have to attend every one long as some attend lol any way see what the poll says an the comments left.

What people want from meets is :oh yer: an gonna be like :wall:

I think due to the nature of this group once a month wont be attainable however every few months would be.

ScotVOC is slightly different - it's the whole Vauxhall range, not just Astras (for example) so we've got a much wider audience ergo, a larger bunch of people who can attend every month. The same 4-6 people meeting up every month for a Frontera meet would end up draining and people would get bored. I'd suggest something like bi monthly meets.. and an 'event' ever 4 months or so (say DrumClog.. or the Forrest Drives you went on)

fair point there an i have to agree but its a majority lol this may be a hung poll all i hope is that those that vote an take part are the ones intrested an who will come an not people suggestion idea`s an im not saying any one is.

Im not looking for the scottish event position by the way its a democracy

Hey, i voted no but only cause i think, as above, a 2 or 3 month meet would be better. I'd be up for off roading outwith that of course but because of the nature of my job i can't guarantee when i'll be around so other off roading i can organise around when i know i'll be about. If i'm up for going down to Wales for the annual meet then i'm sure i can manage the much shorter drive to somewhere in Scotland ;)

Well I even managed to miss the vote! I'd like the option of regular meets, but like most, couldn't manage or commit to every month. Every 2 or 3 months might be do-able though.

'Sides, how many members are there in Scotland, and which areas have the most / least etc? Anyone know?
