Just like to advise everybody who went out on the 18th to remove and wash out your rad.
I was quite conservative with the water splashes, but when I came to fit the replacement rad I found the origional was Blocked pretty solid!

Mine wasn't blocked at all, got all the front off at the mo as still trying to fit winch and assumed the rad would need a good squirting, but no. I think you are just making excuses John so the mrs. lets you live

Guys be carefull not to put the jetwash too close to the rad as it will flatten the fins making it useless!! If you want to put pressure on it use the hose at normal pressure!!! :D :D :D

I was very carefull not to get close with the jetwash. Basically held it about 4-5 ft away so that a strong mist flushed the crud out gently

I had already put the power washer to it..... and the hose at home, to assess the damage to the rad, its only now that its been out for a few days that the mud is oozing out of it.

(Repair rad £107 +vat........new replacement £150+vat.....cost price through my lad £109 + vat.......2nd hand £20......time to remove and wash properly 30mins.....you dont even have to drain off the coolant!)

Also look for a detergent called TFN it is a metal safe biological cleaner used for Tarpaulin Lorries.... I have used it several times on my fronty's rad and its superb at loosening the dirt after being baked on!!

Costs about £10 from motor factors!!
