Re: Would you like to see more happenHi Matt, feel free to post some details here, are they legal to drive lanes and do they have any sign posts or marker post to know what they are classified as, RUPPS, BOATS etc
Re: Would you like to see more happenJust a quick note to advise that RUPP's are no longer drivable following the NERC Act.
Only BOAT's and ORPA's may be driven legally (subject to no closure orders) Lawrence
Re: Would you like to see more happenI kinda know the area around Crowcombe and I think most of the lanes up and around the Quantock hills are now restricted byways.
Re: Would you like to see more happenLots and lots of footpaths up by "crowcombe" ...didn't see any "Byways" on MM
Re: Would you like to see more happeni live in warminster near sailbury plain and the westbury white horse so there are loads of byway that i go up loads of puddles and mud to play in if anyone fancys it give me a shout and we could meet up some were
Re: Would you like to see more happenNice, if you know the area well you may want to lead a day out up that way. Days are getting short at the mo but feel free to post and ideas and suggestions up and see what happens

Re: Would you like to see more happenAnd the quantocks are free to run around on , spent the last few weeks up their in the dark , gets abit scary when you get stuck on your own . had a few touch cloth moments .

Re: Would you like to see more happenjust about to move down to colerne nr chippenham (wilts) this weekend - be down that end for the next few years. already spoke via pm to a couple - seemstheres plenty of chance to get covered in the brown slippy stuff lol - in and out of the cab sometimes!! as soon as i get some decent mud tyres and sort out my rad-weld-radiator, whichis more rad-weld than anything else, il be up for a blast around, see what the score is.
even if the motor's not quite up to scratch id still more than likely pop down for the crack ( , meet some faces etc, specially being new on the FOGGY scene! cheers jonno a Frontera is a workhorse, not a lifestlye choice
Re: Would you like to see more happenBe careful about driving on the quantocks Kev, most, if not all of it now are restricted byways and the rangers work closely with the police to stop illegal driving. Some of the tracks run through national trust land and they don't take kindly to it now either.
Re: Would you like to see more happenThanks for the advice . yaeh aware of the situation up on the quantocks , just been sticking to what i know is safe . because of the wardens/police and the fact ive been on my own , if i got stuck i would be royaley nailed . only got all terrains on front and road tyres on back , need better tyres but they will come . so when ever you lot are up for a dirty day in the hills/lanes let me know
