After a lot of work to set it up, 4WDNI are pleased to announce that it is putting on a Family Fun Day on Sunday May 11th 2008

Venue: Scrabo Garden Centre, 47 Ballyhenry Road, Comber, County Down. BT23 5JZ

Coffee & Lunch available at Garden Centre Restaurant and BBQ.

10:30am to 4:00pm

Come along - drive, be driven or just watch.

Something for all the family.

Drive: Drive your own vehicle on a non-damaging set course (children must wear cycle helmets)

Be Driven: Sin in with an experienced Club Driver and be amazed at what 4x4 vehicles can do on difficult terrain

Just Watch: At regular intervals there will be a demonstration of 4x4 vehicles driven at speed on difficult terrain

Come talk to the marshals, other enthusiasts and of course join the club.

For further information please PM me.

I'll be there!
Cheers

First can I just say, What a great day out that was!

I can't see how it could have been better. Beer tent, maybe. :mexwave:

Hey - that mex wave smiley looks like someone going over the RTV stage: :mexwave:

Thanks to all who helped, took part or even just came for the craic.

We had one other Fonty there - a 96 2.8 LWB the same colour as mine - the driver struggled to get some of the RTV turns so I advised slowing down a bit and using low 1st to reduce skid/understeer. Next time round, big smiles - she'd cleared the stage. Great!

Definitely worth doing again!

385 pics taken at max jpg resolution with a Nikon D40 with both UV and Polarising filters fitted on the standard 18-55mm lens and using the Sports preset mode as I am not very clever at setting up my SLR. Yet.

3 videos (complete with my heavy breathing for some reason) taken with a Nokia N95 at its highest quality settings.

Let me know if you can see these ok.

I'm happy enough for anyone who's good at such things to edit and repost the videos etc...just send me a royalty cheque each month.... ;) :D

There are a few good sequential series of pics of various cars doing stuff - and a few crackers of Ian C completely airborn on the 'slow' link section between the finish and start of the Comp lap :o  (4218, 4186, 4130, 4082)
