GWR Sponsor and Charity Pack

Postby bobbinsjob on Mon May 05, 2008 5:31 am

Thanks to Andi (Madchef), who has put in so much time and effort, there is now a pack containing everything you need to promote the record attempt and to start getting sponsors. Go to the link below, download and print the PDF and get cracking getting that sponsorship. Remeber, please inform us if you get any corporate sponsorship from a major concern so as we do not duplicate contact them.

Nice job by all involved. Just a comment though..
Is there a reason why page 3, to use as a display poster, does not mention that it is a Guinness World Record attempt.
It is advertised as a Mass Charity Drive, whereas on the other pages the record attempt is clearly displayed at the top of the page.
It is just a thought that at a quick glance on the back of our cars, the World Record bit may attract more owners?

Couple of things.Normaly run Seamonkey and that displays the pages no problem but at present am using IE 7 and found problems. The webpage declines to show this page.Might be our computer and security but if you have the same problems let us know. This has also happened with the link to the pack,

In reply to Westo123 the GWR attempt was ommited on page 3 to aim people towards the site and to let people know that we are trying to raise money for charity ( mainly the anti 4x4 brigade ).
You can however display both page one and page 3 as I will doing when work on truck is finished. One in back window and one in nearside rear windows.
If want the poster changing let me know however it took a lot of work for Ian and Alchamist to get the PDF online. If you do want another version will make one and host it on my external Document site...

Having just been trying to send few Mails to people found that the PDF is not allowing pages to be split even though that is what it should do, so I will host each individual page on my storage site and will post a link to the location.

Drift are you still needing a professional page,if you do will update and post a " New " version for sending to Companies.

Should be done by Saturday lunch if can get the time!!

As the push for sponsorship drives on and people request more from us today I have created a " Template" for corporate emailing as requested by Drift.
Does not look the best but I always find that of word and what do you expect from a dyslexic with no knowledge of Grammar

http://cid-e4fbbf310020e499.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/FOG%20NEW/Corporate%20Email.doc

Any way as a word document if you save it to your hard drive you can edit it to how you want it so Foggers it's over to you.
Get those mails going but please let us know who has mailed who as we may upset people by sending numerous mail to them.

Will put a post in GWR area for who I have already mailed.
