RECORD ATTEMPT IS GO!
Good news people, just got an email from GWR. Our record attempt has been approved but with some conditions, the main one being that all the vehicles, even though they dont have to be Fronteras, unfortunately they have to be Vauxhall, so allthough OPEL fronteras will be able to take part, they will not be included in the total number. Please still come though cos it will be the mutt's nuts of a day.

The record for Most 4x4's is not valid so they have said that we can go for Most vehicles of Same Make / Marque, i.e. Vauxhall so Montys and Bravas are welcome as long as they are Vauxhall, not Bedford.

The other good news about this is that as yet, a record has not been set so we have enough now to set a record anyway.

I will be posting the full email from GWR and the 2 PDF files they have sent me because everyone taking part including witnesses has to read and understand all the rules and constraints.

Watch this space

reading the rules and stuff that gwr have sent me, i am not so sure that their's was official. for a start it says that the parade has to follow a route of no les than 2 miles. they did it on the oval circuit at rockingham which is only 1.48 miles. it also says that the cars have to be in line and no more than 2 car lengths between them. i saw the piccies and they were 2 abreast. they say they got 293 but not sure if that was an official gwr. havent seen any certificate!

we already have enough to set a gwr cos we are the first to attempt it for auxhalls. we just need to make sure that everything is doe right and we will be record breakers
