Ahhhh... now i'm understanding. They hold the big landy shows, so should be geared up and used to that kinda thing. Kinda central as well, so could be a good possibility..

hi

just add this to the places you might wish to look at how about stoneliegh park near kenilworth, warwickshire (where the royal show is held every year), they do have a bit of offroad tracks, lots of space and covered sheds where the boot sale could be held.
try this website for info. http://www.stoneleighpark.com

Guys & Gals,

I would just like to add my two-penneth worth if I may!

My own personal opinion is that we should consider a Summer date. I think it would be far nicer all round...BBQ, a few cold beers in the evening, sitting in the deck chairs etc etc. I also think that you are likely to get a better turn out, whether it be from Frontys or from the press, just simply due to the higher possibility of nicer weather.

Like I said, don't shoot me down, it's just my suggestion

Thanks,
Huw.

I must admit, I would rather sit outside on a warm summer evening having a beer and a barbie rather than freezing my bits off in the dark.

That said, I don't want to pee on anyone's bonfire (no pun intended) so please keep giving input.

I've had a look at Billing Aquadrome's Website and if it all happens in Low Season (3rd Sept - 4th November) (will more than likely take till september for everything to be put into place) the price is £16 per night per pitch, not per person plus £4 for electric hook up. There is a price for "Rally Rates" of £13 per night but I will have to enquire if this would apply to us or if its just for the annual Landy Rally held there. Either way, i still think its a cracking price for somewhere with such good facilities.

Check out their site and let me know your thoughs.

Oh and by the way, the met office has forecast a longer and hotter summer than last year

Now there's a thought:

7th - 8th July 2007
Vauxhall Bedford Opel Association National Rally

This is the 25th Vauxhall Bedford Opel Association National Rally. Members of the 30 owners clubs affiliated to the VBOA will be displaying over 1,500 Vauxhalls, Bedfords and Opels ranging from the 1920s to the latest models. Sunday afternoon will see arena displays by participating clubs and the crowning of the Best Car in Show. A massive autojumble will be open both days to supply parts, accessories and memorabilia.
All Fields

Pity though, the date might be a bit too early.

i want to add my two pence to the flyers i've already spoke to bobbinsjob and advised him about them, when you place the flyers on someone elses car do not touch the windscreen wiper, either slide it under or place it between the bonnet and windscreen,
If you lift the windscreen wiper and someone see's you doing it and informs the police you can get done for tampering with a vehicle, i should know i've nearly been done with it, i got cautioned for placing a penatly charge notice on a car by lifting the windscreen wiper, so just be careful when placing the flyers, i don't want anyone getting done for doing it
cheers Rob

Bad points....Only 3 bars!!....Only room for 10,000 vehicles!!
Good points....looks like a few rivers and lakes to plough through!!

Only joking....seems OK!!

Have enquired about possibility of renting one of those posh caravans. (Ever tried camping with 2 young dogs and a 9 yr old.....I don't think so)

Cheers,
Huw.
