Rent a Frontera

Postby madchef on Mon Apr 21, 2008 3:34 pm

Okay here's one to think over.
Had a conversation with a mate a while ago about the GWR attempt. As you know due to work cannot make it but he suggested renting out the Fronty to somebody who could make it.

My location makes this a little difficult but are there other members who could do this??Scanned the Rules and Regs for what it says about the attempt but heads still busted and am about to start drinking.

Would this be a workable way of upping the number of Fronties in the attempt.
Stuck in GD to get more sight onto it but mods/admin move if required.

What do you lot think???

Good idea mate, if people are willing to do it. The rules and regs do not state that the frontera has to be driven by the owner of the vehicle, just that it has to be driven.

Thought as much.
Some of our members do have a couple of Fronts' as well.
All you need is a driver.

oops wrong button..............
Maybe somebody may stuff this idea with legalities.

alot of insurers these days cover you drive another vehical not owned by you under third party. so i would advise before lending, that you check the drivers insurance to make sure he is covered.

last thing we want is some guy pulled over and done by mr policeman, for no insurance on his way to the GWR. would not look good for all of us...as once they see so many frontys on the road at once around a certain location, im sure they are going to pull a random one or two..

just a thought guys.
