Pay & Play on the Saturday is probably not the best of ideas, there are bound to be fatalities but more important Rockingham are unlikely to want great big lumps of mud all over the race curcuit.

Also how stringent are they going to be about oil leaks ?

We may all be subject to scrutineering but we can use Saturday afternoon/evening to do any cosmetics or cleanups

Think it will mainly be for major oil drops as those could take the edge off the day for the afternoon racers

As a matter of interest does Rockingham have emergency services entry points around its boundry ? If so then all GWR entrants could use one, cars & passengers could be then be contain in a predetermined area. The advantage would be twofold,..! all vehicles would be in one localised area ( making for a more orderly conga onto the curcuit at the appropriate time, rather than struggling through the public parking areas )....2..there would be no need for people who are not interested in watching the racing to pay a gate fee....As this is primarily a charity event Rockingham should be able to arrange this...If then all attendies pay the equivalent of the reduced gate fee to the nominated charity you would know what the minimum amount raised would be before the event.

I am 99% sure that we will be in a separate area like the MR2's were but I'm afraid they all had to pay the gate fee wether staying or not. I think that this is because we are getting free use of the track for an hour where as to privately hire the track would cost thousands and we would have to arrange our own insurance etc...

You could try shooting it past them as it is primarily for charity and lunch hour is dead track time,it would not harm their reputation being seen to be charitable.

Just a thought for s/east members,
i would be hoping to travel up sat night, if camping is available, thats great i will be there.
on a second point, should it not be, B&b at my mothers for 4 people as i will be staying there, which is sunderland, so not to far to tavel to venue in the morning. and she cooks a mean breakfast.
i will provisionaly book dandan down for that, as i agreed to collect him. so 3 more places will be available, but please PM me your interest.

cheers.
