GWR Atempt publicity

Postby gjz2310 on Mon Oct 15, 2007 10:15 pm

Hello All
I think that the Record Atempt is a great idea. When you have a few more details 'firmed up' If you would like to let me have them as soon as, I will make sure they will be aired on our radio station.

I am the assistant manager/chief engineer of Mansfield Community Radio. We are A local station here in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and we are currently in the process of applying for a full time FM licence. But we have been broadcasting worldwide over the internet for the last year.

I hope this might be of some use to you.

Simon

p.s. I would be interested in taking part in the record atempt.

The same offer applies to any events you might be running, right down to monthly meets.

If you would like to send details direct to me at work, the address is:-

news@manrad.com

never know, it might encourage more new members.

Stuck this here as it seems the right place to be.Mods feel free to move!!

As we now have a location and a month of the event couple of things to ask??

( 1 ) Should I update the posters and flyer's and also ( 2 ) if we are to start a serious push for fundings/charity donations and also for endorsements from companies should we have a "standardized" letter using the site logo and address explaining what we hope to achieve??

There was recently a GWR set for the largest number of Limo's on the road in Blackpool and they raised funding , etc by selling advertising space on the side of their Limo's.Good idea??

Replies please.

Don't think of this as being daft but I'm off on one again.
Has anybody thought about sending a mail to the Paul O Grady show.

He seems to be a big supporter of GWR attempts and it might be worth a try even to get a plug on the show???

Again replies please...

I think any publicity is good and I also think Paul O'Grady would plug us espescially if one of our chosen charities is the Heart Foundation as he had a major heart attack.

As for the Flyers, yes please if you wouldn't mind updating them that would be great. Also, the letter thing sounds a good idea and the advertising space malarchy :)

THIS IS GOING TO BE HUGE!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
