All-Ireland group First ever meet - when and where?

Postby CJ on Fri Apr 04, 2008 8:19 pm

Now that our numbers are rising to the dizzying heights of over 6, it's time to talk about having our first meet.

There are plenty of options - hence the poll. :feedback:

We can probably leave real 4x4ing for a 4WDNI club event which we can easily piggyback / hijack. It would not in all likelyhood be cost effective to rent a location for so few people as we have just in FOG Ireland alone. :dirty w/end:

I would hope to have it somehere central but it's down to numbers and the kind of event we decide on.

I'll drive anywhere just to get at a beer.

:drive: then :drink: never the other way around

Enough smilies?

PS: If any of the FOG members from England/Scotland/Wales etc are game to come over for the meet then the first one is on me! :my shout:
Cheers

Perhaps we could meet up at this event and have a burger and a chat?

viewtopic.php?f=68&t=16565

Might do in the meantime until we get our own event organised.
Cheers

I know it's been quiet, but only 3 votes, one of which was mine!!

Given that there has been zero attendance at any of the events I have plugged, and the slow response, I'll hold off making grand plans for a meet for a while yet, until numbers and interest starts to lift a bit.

The 4WDNI season starts in earnest around Sept time so hopefully I'll see some of you at an RTV, CCV Trial or Comp Safari event then. :)
Cheers

I do plan to get to some of these events, but up till now the green jeep has always had a problem at same time as previous events (mot, tax, insurance, etc)
Iv went through the members list on here & ther is not that many from our wee island..
I just think people over here dont know about the site & how big a network is out there to help them!! :(
I think we all should all make a few leaflets and stick them on any frontera we see...
It may be a small thing but it would be a start!!
