Sorry for the loss of Roma.

We met her once and loved her on first sight - she surely was a dog with a certain character and was a companion for all sitiuatons!

Some years ago we had to take the same sad path with Marion's cat. There is and will be no day passing by without missing it - hard life without a pet!

Keep the memories of the good times!
Kind regards,
Ian

Sorry for my pigeonenglish.

I just want to say a huge thanks to you all for your kind words, they have really helped.

Roma was a special character and seems to have left a lasting impression on all who met her.

Kel, thanks for the video, it was a lovely thought and great memories.

Sorry to hear this news mate it's a horrible decision to have to make but if it stops suffering then it's the only course of action you can take
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Echoing what Sally said, thankyou for your kind words and thoughts...

Our Roma is missed so much... :( but she leaves so many happy memories which will stay with us for ever, and focussing on these memories sooner than our loss will get easier with time.

This is has been the week from hell, but with friends and family's help we are getting through it.

Thanks again everyone...
Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again...
She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body...
Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer!

Gregster,my wife & I know what you & Sally are going through,as we had to put my dog Sable to sleep just recently too. It has been a very very sad few weeks of late.

We wish you both all the best.

I copied this from the post I put up about my dog (Sable),that 4x4 bobby put for our dog and I hope no-one minds me copying it on here for Greg & Sally.

THE LAST BATTLE

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this — the last battle — can’t be won.

You will be sad I understand,
But don’t let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn’t want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.

Take me to where to my needs they’ll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.

Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don’t grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;

We’ve been so close — we two — these years,
Don’t let your heart hold any tears.
