Well, lets get this started, and hopefully there should be an assortment of fun and interesting piccies to come.

Thanks firstly for their hard work and dedication, go to Greg & Sally as ever, without whom we'd not have such a fun place to play. I can't think of any other picnics I'd be willing to do a 250 mile round trip for
Secondly, to Dan (Hipo1024) for giving me the best laugh of the day when he was chauffeuring me round in Lara, turned her into a pit and then promptly cr*pped himself when applying a little power and he thought we were going to roll. I've never seen anyone go so white, so quickly, and I was still giggling to myself as he'd just about calmed down when we made it back to the clearing a few minutes later. Cheers buddy
And a final one to everyone else who made the effort to come along, making for a very pleasant social gathering.

So, had a thoroughly good time again, some old faces and new trucks, plus the other usual suspects and a nice dry, if slightly cool, day. No major damage to anyone I think, although it was a bit sad to see Paul (Mapracing) back at Greg's workshop on the end of a towrope in the evening after his clutch let him down going home - hope you get it sorted soon mate.

Thanks Greg and Sally for yet another great day.
Was nice to get out in the woods with my own truck instead of catching lifts.
Only got one picture on my phone as I managed to leave my camera at home again
Hope to see on the next one.

Big thanks to everyone that came today, a great turnout and some great fun was had by all, even though spring seems to have unsprung and it was colder I reckon than last time in the snow! (well it certainly felt that way!)...

Will get a proper post up in a bit and have a few pics to upload,

But thanks again everyone for making this a crackin day out! 8) 8) 8)

Only a brief visit from me on this occasion because I had double booked and had my orders to be home by 1p.m. - so it was a 12 noon pull by me I'm afraid.
Really p1ssed off about it because the conditions were brilliant. Soft enough to have a bit that surface mud for grip but not wet enough to be slippery. Plus there was water in the holes.
Got to bring one of my work mates along with his son and little grand-daughter for their first taste of the woods. Stephen the son loved it but being a bit of a biker in the past - he was looking for a buzz and got it in a new format. Grand-dad Kev and little one weren't quite so happy. After an hour, they both threw in the white towel and surrendered. Mind you Kev was at a bit of a disadvantage because the V6 leafer long wheel base Shogan only had the front and extreme rear seats in it. Kev was demoted to riding in the extreme rear and was being thrown about like a ping pong ball. When he decided he had had enough, his gills were green. I told him he had made a mistake by not standing up and doing a bit of road surfing.
Here's the couple of pics I got of the Shogan attempting the hill climb by the tree stump and not quite making it. Told him he wouldn't have had that problem in a Fronty

Thanks to Greg and Sal for putting the party on and apologies for not being able to stay longer and enjoy the full day.
Got to see a few of the guys before my premature departure and apologies to the gang members that did attend that I didn't get to say hello to.
See you at the next one.

Not to rub it in...but Vauxsqueeks made it up that hill in his standard B....yes a B made it up that was standard....and a v6 shogun and andys bob didnt....yep....Vauxsqueeks you did me proud!! :) hehehe

But Id also like to thank sal and greg for a fun filled day!! and a massive thank u to rob for letting me nab a lift down to the woods in his truck, jim for letting me sh!t myself in lara's drivers seat....hehe and greg for not ripping my head off for re-re-re.....reshaping the front o/s wing on the bgl :) and for entrusting me to drive his lwb 2.8 from AND (and I wasnt expecting this) back to the workshop....whata beast....funny thing is tho it feels like my dti to drive, just a big higher up! Same pulling power, same sort of gearing and to be honest I could hop into that 1 and drive it smooth as anything because its so simular....*greg now goes and scraps it coz he cant have a truck thats anything like a B* lol

Ill post what pics/vids I got later in the week...takes about a week to upload a HD vid to youtube on my interwebs

hi all
right to start off thanks to everyone who mad us feel wellcome and especially peter for brining us along and greg for letting a shogun in. i had g great time all be it short, unlike my dad who felt sick and my daughter who decided she didnt like off roading anymore and proceded to hold my hand untill grandad took her for a walk. Next time i will conquer the hill that peter so very kindly took pics of me failing to clear on my own. i do feel it was me that let the shogun down not the other way round.
This can only end badly
