slindon offroad day-west sussex 25th July 2010 and REVIEW!!!

Hi all, i am looking to arrange a group of us to have a pay and play at slindon offroad west sussex if anyone is up for it we will have a couple of meeting points so we can travel in convoy one will be clackets of course and the other to be arranged later but m25 after clackets heading towards m23 direction. can you put your names down please only so i can have an idea of numbers. The price is £30 from 10am to 4pm on the 25th july looking to meet about 8am and wait about 30mins for the lazy ones. i am a stickler for time so i will be leaving clackets at 8-30am not 8-31am

If I remember rightly they allow dumper tyres , but cant see anything on their website...

It's only a 10 minute drive from my house so can meet you guy's at the A24 / A27 Junction or Hammerpot and head up from there if that's o.k.? Or your welcome to drop in for a cuppa

Got my lift kit fitted, mud tyres on, just need's a quick oil change and check fluid levels and I'm all ready to go

At about 9.45 a.m. on Sunday so anyone from the Sussex / Hampshire side can you meet us here? Will be a good opertunity to grab some breakfast for those that want and fill the motors up before we all trundle off to Slindon.

Well not the biggest turn out today but I think it's fair to say we all had a bit of laugh

Never been to Slindon before even though it is only a 10 minute drive from my house but have to say it's a huge sight with lots of potential for those new to offroading but still with plenty of challenges even for those with purpose built crawlers.

Soon found the burger hut, just so we had a meeting point of course

Then the usual,"right where here so which way now"? chat


Then within 10 minutes of being on sight we began recovering Paul (Mapracing) which actually turned into a bit of a theme of the day

Which Steve threw himself into

Paul managed to snap a drive shaft and there where a few minor scuffs & scrapes but nothing too bad. Unfortuantely my 4 Wheel Drive packed up (think the vacume hoses have had it) so I was a bit limited in what I could do with only rear wheel drive but still managed to scrape most of the paint of that car

Look like a good day guys....shame that the li'll white leafer wouldnt survive the journey let alone the offroadin...bearing in mind it aint lifted I reckon I would have lost it in some of them ruts you pictured!

How did Stevie 2muchs new axle do? and gutting about your 4wd Mark, but hopefully its just a simple hose replacement job...

Did Pete find some different trees to get up close and personal with???

So Paul suffered his first breakage with the Gregster special front diff...how did it do though with its locker up front???

Gutted I couldnt join ya, but see you all soon...
