Could be in if it's on a weekend. What areas are you thinking about, and do you have any routes planned?

Likewise as BadBoy - Let us know when and where.
Not got a snorkel so wadding through water will be out for me. If going rough country I will quickly have to put the higher springs on and turn up the torsion bars but that shouldn't be a problem.
Not done any green laning yet so it will be good to fit some of the mods and use the motor as a toy for the first time.

Likewise for me. B&Q were out of drainipe today :oh yer:. Got muddys, but still on standard shocks so will need avoid anything with deep ruts.
A good day out can still be had with a standard car, provided you don't mind a few scratches, but a date in mind would still be good as I believe I'm booked with Alex on a recon in Norlfolk in June.

I have a few lanes I'd like to try in Kent. Maybe Krusher, Gregster, john (smifffy), or Bobinjohns could be interested or supply some advice?

I would defo be interested in some laning. You could do it in a standard frontyif its not too rough, I did at Bala. I unfortunately dont know of any lanes near me but would be willing to come out to somewhere in Kent for a spot of laning. :D

Having had a looksy about, Hailsham, and betweem Maidstone and Ashford, right up to Folkstone have the largest amounts of lanes, with the biggest looking to be around 2-3 miles, however I am only going by maps and have no idea of their condition or accessability.
There is also supposed to be a very long lane near Sandwich Bay Estate which goes right through the Royal Cinque Ports golf course, bypassing a toll road.
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=63 ... ate,+Kent+[City/Town/Village]&searchp=ids.srf&mapp=map.srf

We could try a suck it and see approach. I'm happy to plan a route and pick some lanes, if anyone can help with local knowledge of this area.

Keep me updated on a date. Sunday is prefered over Saturday but I'm flexible.

I have obtained a copy of the current TRO's for Kent. I can email this to anyone who wants a copy. PM me with you email.
Given that Krusher cannot do before 6th, how would everyone feel about the weekend of 13/14th June?
As per my previous posts I think the area around Ashford and Maidstone would be good, and it seems central ish for everyone (except me :oh yer: )

I'm good for 14th also, we just need the nod from garethc976 and any other takers (max 8?) so in true FOG style I'll start the list
  1. Badboy
  2. PeterKing
  3. Krusher
I will start some route planning if thats ok with you all, and post my ideas here.
If anyone has access to Wayfinder http://www.way-finder.co.uk/ and wants to try a particular lane let me know so I can include it.

Also found this on the website http://www.fronteraowners.co.uk/green_laning_kent.htm, do any members have any details or remember this?

Sorry chaps - can't do 21st - family things booked (I think it's Father's Day).
I can always catch up on another day out later in the year if this one proves enjoyable and you guys want another day out later on.
Cheers, Peter

Yes it would. Thanks for the offer.
Do you have memory map then Krusher?
I have a map overlay for my TomTom that can contain the lanes we can do, but they are only points of interest.
It gets you there if you know where you want to go but planning a day out with various stops is beyond it's capability.

I see Peter cannot make it, however there is still time for others to add their names.

I've been cross referencing the TRO's and most of the North Down way is open from Hollingbourne to Westwell. Thats about 8miles in a single run pretty much, (except for about a 1Km stretch near Lenham which is TRO'd). That should be a good run.
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=591650&y=152430&z=4&dn=2233 (mid point linked, zoom out once to see full route)

After that I figure we could head SW of Ashford to Shadoxhurst,
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=596860&y=136260&z=4&dn=2233

or NE of Wye (village of Crundale (this looks the better))
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=608500&y=148700&z=4&dn=2233

Both have lots of short lanes in woodland and open fields.

Any suggestions, comments or ideas guys? :dirty w/end:
