Aint family wonderful, eh?? Still she was happy enough when I said I was gonna stick the fronty through the truck wash at work next week...

Looks like you all had a great time. Sorry for bowing out last minute, had no choice.

If there is another one I will defo try to get my truck working (and keep it working) long enough to attend

Cheers for all your hard work with the organising Si. I am sure you want a breather before you organise anything else! I tried all I could to make it but it just wasnt meant to happen

Once my Fronty is fixed im going to go out and find some Lanes in Kent and see if i can organise a meet ending at woodlands pay and play as I have just found out I have a mate that is neighbours with the owner so should be able to sort something cool.

Keep you all posted.

Great photos by the way, look forward to the vids!

Oh and Trog, next time I will attend with my 5 year old, it will be double the mayhem but atleast they can entertain each other LOL

Hampshire weekend!

Postby Bernie on Mon Mar 19, 2007 7:08 am

First off, many many thanks to Si for "organising" this great weekend, I think we all had a really good time and nearly everything was perfect! I said nearly, cos it was flippin cold, not just a tad, as mentioned earlier! Anyway, we all enjoyed it, and I hope everyone got home OK, and troglodite managed to catch an early ferry, specially with little trogly in the back of the car! It was great to meet ye all! Thanks again Si.

Postby Bernie on Mon Mar 19, 2007 7:55 am

Hey Mrs trogs,
I know its you out there, got loads of dots and comma's etc...

So, what was wrong with little trogly, I think he was great, just behaved real good and wasn't a pain at all, like many might have been and I hope we'll see him next time!

Hehehe... no fooling you Mrs Bernie, is there?
He was good as gold mostly, but just a little too hyper in the truck when Trog was trying to concentrate, shouting and throwing himself around and things.. and being a little.. um.. rude  He was just being a normal 5 year old boy mostly.
He'l probably be attending the annual, im just not sure wether he can handle the longer journey to and from etc. We'l see. Il ask him, then if he says he wants to come and moans anyway he'l only have himself to blame :P

Good to see you arrived home safely. Hope you've defrosted nicely :D
Look forward to seeing you there, it was great to meet everyone at the meet, faces to names and all that.

Also, Si, something i forgot to mention in earlier posts.. an even bigger thank you for refusing to pull us out of that 'hole'. Trog said he learnt loads from that :D

You earned them beers and then some!
Big huge thanks to Wilber too for the loan of the CB rig, and showing us the way up etc :D
Great weekend, fun, educational, fun, and a bit more fun
Will definately be hoping to do that again... we're hooked! Dont think Ty will be coming to the meet after this weekend though... he wasnt terrible but bad enough, and i think the final straw was when bernie got stuck and he (aged 5) gasped and shouted 'ooh bolloc..' well i think you get the idea :?
He quite enjoyed himself though, especially telling Wilberforce across the CB 'Oi! You need BULLBARS!'

And calling me a girl for drinking coke in the pub

Trog, like the new sig image... ;)

Glad you guys all enjoyed yourselves and learned a few things.

By the way, Tonyakela, THANK YOU for bringing along your mess tent.. without it we would have been in our tents asleep by 9pm!! As it was we kept going in the cold until 11.30pm because we weren't directly in the wind.
And your more than welcome, I was very happy to have you and your son there as well. :)

Great to have met you all and enjoyed the weekend with you.

Just for those who wanted to know, this might be the ticket..

Same CB as I have installed in my truck.. and if you don't want to buy this one from eBay then look for the EM-27 on eBay being sold by NEVADA as that is Nevada the radio company in Cosham, Portsmouth... they are a big reputable company.

Anyway, check this out
