I'm uploading it again.. don't know what happened there.

Can someone ask Admin why we don't have EDIT function in this section of the forum please? It would save a lot of time...

But then again, I'll just keep on posting anyway. ;)

Anyways... that wasn't the issue, but having edit status for this section of the forum would be useful is all.. :D

hahaha, yeah it's great fun :)

It's really manic though when the forum gets Slash dotted.. (slashdot.org)
Or when the BBC runs an article..

The forum runs from it's own dedicated server now days because it gets really busy, heheh

Stuff like this happens:

Now some pics from today... see if I can arrange them in the right order first time around (as I can't edit to adjust):

Fronty's in the morning...

Mid day...
Image

Late afternoon...
Image

Late afternoon and a little dirtier than the morning... ;)
Image

Part way through a lane.. (same place that Rick's vehicle got stuck)
Image

WATER LANE (the rest of these show some of the area's we DID drive through, and some of the area's we didn't.. :)

DID this bit
Image

Did this bit
Image

Didn't do this bit

Didn't do this bit

Water lane just gets worse after this area.. sheer walls on the sides, greatly washed out tracks on one side meaning that your vehicle would be leaning hard against the rocky wall on one side and if your tyre slips just a little your vehicle is toast..
Carl, still want to try it??

Hope you all enjoyed the pics.

Sorry, but that last Vid just isn't ready yet, don't know why.

Nah, I assure you that one of the front wheels was spinning away quite happily ;)

Anyway it was a good fun day all in all.

Carl, you really DO want to try Water Lane?

Cos if you do then we've got to make a weekend of laning and do it LAST on a Sunday afternoon... and we'll put a vehicle at each end and walk people in both ways to watch, hahaha.

Sooooooo... who wants to come to the next one? (date will be posted on Tuesday night when I've checked my next shifts). I will make the next lot of laning a little more fun by making it all longer etc. :D

Hi all,

Getting stuck on a tree root was all down to me letting one of my friends have a drive!!!! It WAS in 4x4 :? , just beached on a root  , proves some things even with MT tyres you wont get out of without a push!!! Si went for the other approach, a very fast one getting the momentum to get him over it!!!!

What was quite funny is the fact that i worked out shortly after being splattered with mud that it was better to try with the front windows up!!!!!

It was an excellent day and the lane i got stuck in was one of the best, very wet and rutted with a big puddle at the end of it!!! As was Water Lane some great articulation fun!!!!
