Evening all,

Just a quick note to say hello and introduce myself.

Having just sold my Grand Cherokee my wife and I now use our '99 Sport Transglobe which to be honest has been a little neglected in terms of not much use etc over the past year or so. Its only done 65k and is pretty reliable but its now time toget more involved with it and get some spannering done on it. Its in pretty good condition but does need some things done to it. It suffers from sloppy steering (having had a little read on here I understand thats a common issue) and I need to sort out the front washer jets which stopped working a while ago and I swapped the rear jet tube to the front to get it through the MOT. I don't know if its the pump or the stalk, I'll have to pull out the washer bottle and test it (which seems a bit of an a*** job TBH).

The drivers seat rocks slightly back and forth in its runner and in the last few days a strange thing has emerged... The Engine management light is going on and off like a fairy light although the engine is running fine, no limp home or anything! I'm used to and EML coming on and staying on until the fault it rectified and cleared in the ECU, My bluetooth OBD2 won't talk to the ecu (due to vauxhall specific codes I believe? non standard OBD2?) possible loose connection?

Anyway, a few things to fix and a service to perform (And a vauxhall specific OBD2 reader needed it seems). But love the frontera, its four wheel drive is great!

Anyway, HI! have a great evening

Wotcha

The ECU won't log a fault code unless the light stays on for more than 30 seconds. If the code reader doesn't work you can always paperclip and flash the codes.
