Hi from South Wales

Hi *waves* I'm Ell, and I found you through Googling 'Frontera heating broken' (or something to that effect). It's not mine sadly, it's the hubby's, and we got it a year ago after I suggested that, with him being a dog walker, and the chances of us getting snowed in (again) it might be prudent to have a 4x4 in the household. No. He wanted a Vauxhall, and we're wandering round a used care forecourt, and I'm prodding him towards this big, burgundy thing, and oh! This is a VAUXHALL? *facepalm*

Hardcore haggling, £800 and a wheezy Hyundai Accent later, we got his preferred make, and my preferred functionality.

She's a V-Reg petrol shorty, fits hoardes of dogs in the back, and doesn't have an agonising fuel consumption.
Unfortunately, I'm here because:
-The heating doesn't work
-The speedo doesn't work
-The mileage has been at 83k for the last 12 months (see aforementioned speedo issue)
-The petrol guage doesn't work
-The engine fault light is always on (possibly due to all the above)

I'm sure there's more but I'm waiting for another complaint form to be submitted :P

So that's me, and him, and the Fronty. Now I'm off to find out how many times I have to hit it with a hammer...

Hello and welcome to FOG. A few faults on your truck but nothing to horrendous. Heating have you checked fuses etc? Speedo does the rev counter work? I assume they also don't work with headlights on?

Thanks for the welcomes, guys :)

The horrendous stuff has mostly been fixed - brake failure, new clutch, leaky fuel tank, fuel lines...

The rev counter works fine, but the rest of it is intermittent, and no difference with the lights either. Was thinking checking for loose & rusty connections would be a good place to start!

I'm back! Lost my login bits for a while there. Hubby got fed up with constant repairs so he's bought a landrover and I have a summer car project. Yay! :D

As a 'green Oval' owner on and off for many years, I can assure you, this is definitely a step, or rather long walk in the wrong direction :D
