Newbie in Ashbourne

Newbie in Ashbourne

Hi all just like to say hi,

im a newbie to the frontys, and just taken on my first frontera B LWB Olympus model.

i hope everyone is well and hope to hear from some of you in the future...

Now my first question i have,

when im driving from stationary and move off the fronty seems to pulse abit, then when i reach a selected speed it holds it, is this normal?

Hi and welcome Ash,

Does your car idle ok? Or does it run a bit rough and cut out sometimes? Sounds like it could possibly be the crank sensor, quite common on the 2.2dti, either that or check your vac pipes, theres a few posts in the 2.2 diesel section that show how to do it.
Also would be a good idea to fill in your profile so we know exactly which car you have.

Welcome to the forum. If you have the 2.2dti then if you don't have the rev's high enough when you pop the clutch they do tend to pulse a bit as you say. You must realise you are trying to shift nearly 2ton of truck on big tyres from rest. I had to change my driving style because i had come from a 2.0 petrol. Hope this helps fella! :wink:
