Hello from Jersey :)

Postby Chiliwitch on Tue Jan 13, 2015 1:44 pm

Hello
Just joined and have just bought an old Frontera Sport...1996. I may have made a huge mistake! But I love it and need advice please. There will no doubt be tons wrong with it as I bough it after night shifts and didn't have my sensible head on...never buy anything after night shifts!!
I've only ever done any work on a beetle years ago so I may need a garage to do the work required. I'd love to have a go for myself though. Hope everyone's having a good day so far,
Manu

Hi and welcome to the madhouse. Good bunch on here with loads of experience with all manner of things Fronty. Fill in your profile with the vehicle details so everyone knows which model your asking questions on.

Kind regards

Stuart

Thanks for the welcome :)
I thought I had filled out my profile :? I bought an Apache Estate in limited edition gold lol!
Yes it has problems...the gears are really hard now and it needs a repair to the middle section of the exhaust. Bodywork is sound, just two tiny rust bubbles which i'm dealing with and a few scratches here and there but nothing bad.
Some water seems to have got in somewhere I can't get to as I can hear it swilling about when I drive but there's no water/damp inside the car.
Really worrried bout the gearbox :(

You couldn't have bought a better truck. They are terrific trucks' my missus has the apache in burnt orange and the only problem its ever realy had was a blown head gasket. So that was done and replaced the water pump while it was apart! She has had it for 6 years and thats the only major issue. So good luck bud!!
