Frontera 2.2 RS

Postby ABZDANNY on Wed Oct 22, 2014 12:01 am

Hi,

I'm Daniel, from Aberdeen and I've just bought a 1999 Frontera RS.

Bog standard but over time would like to make a few subtle mods to it.

Main reason for joining this forum is hopefully I can find some like minded hands on kind of people who can pass on a bit of knowledge.

First off with the Frontera, I bought it from a farmer a few weeks back for 400 quid. Looks really clean and seems to drive pretty well and solid enough. Tax and tested but has now ran out, 81000 miles but its only done around 10000 miles in the past 10 years, bargain for £400 I recon. :D

After I got it home and got under it properly I found a few problems but nothing too drastic, Rear reinforcement plate was almost disintegrated, burst middle section and the speedo is a bit temperamental, very rusty at the back end.

Rear reinforcement plate, cannot locate one anywhere! In the process of building one so will post once I'm finished.

That's enough for now anyway, anyone has any spare parts of any ideas where to find them any help would be appreciated, there like hens teeth trying to find anything, especially up my neck of the woods!

Danny
