Introduction

Postby Philaustin on Thu Aug 07, 2014 7:25 pm

Hi All. I found you today because I'm off to look at a 1997 2.5 diesel Frontera tomorrow and I was wondering whether there is anything specific to look out for?

Currently our cars are a 2002 Rover 75 diesel estate which is used as a workhorse and a 1989 Mazda MX5 runabout but both of these are on British plates and getting them registered here in Portugal is cripplingly (and criminally) expensive. Portugal only has 3 standards for roads. Motorways, good National roads and dirt tracks so we've decided to look for something 4X4ish.

Looking forwards to your replies.

Hi and welcome

On the 2.5 check its not using water or overheating, other than that its the usual checks on a S/H car
Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one :-(
