I have always been a landy man but have now got my first Frontera it is a 1997 Lwb 2.5tds which is nick named PIG Due to the Mud slut sticker in the back window.

A little bit about Pig:

Well for a my First frontera i am happy with it. It has been lifted 5 inch (2inch body and 3inch suspension) 4 spotlights on the roof and 4 on the bullbars) a dodgy snorkel (i have made one from stainless but haven't fitted yet)The previous owner did alot of off roading and there isn't a straight panel on it but she is solid.

It does have some electrical demons like the speedo doesn't work and occasionally bounces around. one headlight doesn't work on full beam but that was because the extra spots have overloaded the wiring . Bouns tho i rewired all the spots onto there own switchs and relays . i just need to sort the full beam wiring to one headlight.

she has one or to oil leaks mainly around the sump but nothing major and the turbo could do with new oil seals or been replaced. And i think the axles need overhauling with new seals and bearings

it did brake down once i lost an idler pully which then burnt out the fan/alternator belt i changed the pully and belt and now the other idler is on its way out. the difficult thing is locating certain parts (vauxhall want daft money for an idler pully £130)

she has been neglected but i am hoping to change that. i am looking forward to off roading it but have got to get the little jobs sorted first so i will appreciate any help and advice as the frontera is all new territory to me
