Hi my name is Adrian iv been a fronty owner for some years, im now on my fronty number three, i cant see myself ever having any other 4x4 as i just love the look of the fronty, but the fronty days are getting hard, STOP SCRAPING YOUR FRONTY'S, KEEP THEM ON THE ROAD OR SALE FOR PARTS, DONT CRUSH IT. as they are well made and the engines are good if well look after, and are quite easy to work on.
hello from me in bristol, if there is any fronty owners out there in bristol that ever need any help with ther fronty 4x4 give me a shout. Adrian

Hi and welcome Interesting point about scrapping Fronteras but unfortunately its a sad fact of life (not just Fronteras but loadsa other vehicles) that they are worth more in bits or they become uneconomical to repair. If you look back over the years at the cars that have been scrapped its enough to make a grown man cry These things go in cycles, I spent 6 years working for a Triumph specialist in South Wales and back in the late 80's we were scrapping Spitfies/GT6's/Heralds/Vitesses like they were going out of fashion but at that time it was difficult to get the parts to keep the cars on the road and it wasn't financialy viable to restore most of them. Things did change and by the turn of the 90's values had risen significantly and some of those we broke would have been worth restoring and then prices crashed again as the investors ran for the hills. The 1 upshot of the climb in values was that lots of firms started remanufacturing spares. Body panels and trim bits that were unavailable new for many years were readily available as there was sufficient demand to justify either repairing the old tooling or make new however these days most of the specialists that sprang up back then are long gone as the demand isn't there anymore at least not in the volume of demand as there was in the 90's Unfortunately I can't see the same happening for the Fronteras, their prices might rise in years to come but only when there are very few left and while mechanical parts may remain easy to come by trim & body panels etc not so The reality is we need a number of Fronteras to be broken to supply spares for the ones that are in daily use
Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one

It was once said that the Devil would never dare to cross the River Tamar into Cornwall for fear of ending up as a filling in a Cornish Pasty.
