Decided to try one at last

Postby BIGMIKE1 on Mon Jan 06, 2014 2:40 pm

Hi all, I used to be a Vauxhall Technician and to be honest was never a fan of the Frontera A but always liked Monterays and Frontera B so now over 10 years after leaving Vauxhall I've decided I fancy a Frontera B estate V6 manual ideally. The plan is to use it as a bit of a work horse for collecting wood for the wood burner, taking the dog out, picking up building materials for house renovation and to finally get into a bit of gentle off roading!
Anyway that's all for now and I'll let you know when I find some suitable wheels.
Mike

Good luck with the search. Quick tip make sure whichever V6 you look at the exhaust is sorted. For a reason i am yet to fathom the V6 exhaust parts are three times the price of the diesel or 2.2 petrol counterparts!
Rule #3: Don't believe what you're told. Double check

Yes I know what you mean with the exhaust, luckily I enjoy welding and if it ended up with a homemade cherry bomb exhaust it wouldn't be the end of the world

Thanks to this forum I picked up my new Frontera today! As usual with projects there's more stuff wrong than you first realise but I've spent the day cleaning it up, ordering parts and slowly sorting some of the issues
