Hi guys, I'm Josh, 23 from East Yorkshire, haven't got my fronty yet but just waiting to seal the deal. Not only my first fronty but first 4x4 too! From what I've gathered from the forum so far and what I know about it is that it's a lovely Blue/turquoise colour, not sure of the proper name ha. It's a mk1 or A I think, its a 1996 and Lwb 2.8tdi engine (izuzu one yes?) 97,000 on the clock and starts like a dream. No rust underneath, a patch on the wing near the arch. Bit of a leak from the aerial I think and some oil knocking about at the back of the engine, other than that it seems well sound. Should I be worrying or an I looking alright so far? Anything to watch for with these? Looking forward to being part of the forum, thanks for looking

Welcome along fella, you do indeed have an A series and the 2.8 is the reliable one, should do you well and youve got it just intime to test the 4x4 when the white stuff arrives

Hi and welcome to Fronty world!
If some newspaper weather forecasts become reality you will be glad you bought your truck, one of the more sought after with the 2.8 engine I believe.

Looking good pal, wouldnt worry to much about the clutch if its working well, if it does start to feel soft or high you can check the bulk head first off as they do split on the As, mine has, then you can eather bolt it to repair or weld it which is better.

Ahh right. Well the clutch did seem a little high for me but I wondered if thats just me coming from a car to a 4x4. It seems to work fine :/
Is there anyone on the forum who is in my area (driffield/bridlington/hull/Scarborough/york) that might be willing to meet up and have a look over the old girl?
Or a decent mechanic in fact?
