I need help to change the rear brake discs, pads & shoes and cables then reset them. Yes I know it's an easy job, but I can't get one of the discs off and need extra help I cant use here. Plus I need to replace the cables as I fear I've over stretched the originals Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines

Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th April
Rob, Any chance of assisting me fit a new CB aerial too? Let me know what I need to buy and I'll get it (unless you have any surplus you want to get rid of (sell)). Could be in the market for a whole new unit if your mate still wants to sell his. Failing that I'll see if I can pick up a brand new unit. This will be the last chance I get before the annual to fit and test a working CB Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th Aprilpaul there is a maplins in harlow if you need a new unit. this one is only £65

Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th AprilRob,
Bought the Maplin kit the other day. Fitted it just need to test it. Also replaced the aerial cable. Once I had it all out I think I found the problem Will tell you what it was on Saturday. Do you have a SWR meter? Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th AprilCool
If I can get this lot working, then there'll be a job lot of cb equipment at a bargain price for sale on here next week. Will just need to decide what to do with the brand new stinger aerial and mag mount Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th Aprili have just bought a head gasket set would we have time to do this aswel if it turns up before Saturday

Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th AprilIn theory yes. Just depends on how much of a bitch your body lift turns out to be.
If we get all the bolts off first time then we should have plently of time, so get back out there with that wd40 Meant to ask. Have you done a body lift before???? I have. I just wondered if you know the sort of job we're taking on and the pitfalls and tricks involved in doing it well. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines

Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th AprilWell I just got back home lol. A little later than I expected but its been a productive day so well worth it. New bearing feel silky smooth although there is still a slight noise from somewhere I'll have to check that out. But all in all thank u andy for ur help! And putting up with me lol. Hope the misses hasn't killed u for playing with the trucks till gone 11pm lol.

Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th AprilThanks for all the help with my brakes guys.
They still don't work, so I'm gonna need some more help. Might see how the cash flow is and put it into a garage for them to mess about with Dan. Sorry I couldn't hang around to help with your bearings. I do have a new home now though Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: body lift spanner party, essex 14th AprilI'm sure its just a case of spending some time adjusting them. But as long as the foot brake works then its just a pain more than anything
