Postby frontydan on Sun Jun 28, 2009 10:18 pm

Well what a bloody great weekend.....................
All started well when i turned up having asked Rob (Horses45) if he fancied coming due to late drop outs, i think he's glad he came. Anyways met Tom and Mrs Tom, who's hospitality with the coffee and the bacon butties will be unsurpassed.
Within 2 mins of getting on the course i was recovering a green oval..... wow that does feel good, then it all started going a bit downhill. on recovering Mark i managed to develop a loud crunching in the front offside wheel but only in 4WD....... from there on in i had a frontera 4X3 DOH !!!!
Lots of banter and a KFC meal later me and Ben decided to go out on the course in the dark.... you know as you do. got back and carried on drinking copious ammounts of beer.
This morning woke up and noitced that i had a 4X3 that sounded a bit like a V8 looking underneath i discovered somewhere in the water runs i had left my exhaust tail piece and was still running on 3 wheels. Couple that up with my battery light coming on below 2500 rpm me thinks i have done some damage to the toy. Hopefully the crunching is just a shft rather than the front diff.
Managed to get home alright and the battery light hasn't come on since clearing itself after about half an hour on the site. Sorry no pics as was too busy playing plus i left the camera battery on charge on the breakfast bar at home :oh yer: :oh yer:
On the upside i have now got to buy a new tail piece for the exhaust and for a few quid extra i can get some flexi pipe so me thinks i can feel a raised exhaust appearing on the toy soon. 8) 8)
I would like to state though all the pics Rob has put up of me with a rope attached to my truck are where i am recovering and not being recovered.... just thought i would put that in after my last outing at Holymooorside.
Cheers to all that made it and heres to the next time... after i fixed her.
Cheers
Dan
