Hi to all!

our apologies if this mail has landed in your inbox more than once! This is because we didnt want anyone to miss it like the last time! so we have sent it several times!

Andi Burt (andi4x4) and Mark Fletcher (L666MUD) are making arrangements for the next Annual Meet. We are starting this early so as to have best chance of securing a good site suitable for all abilities and with good facilities for camping etc. AND TO GIVE YOU ALL PLENTY OF WARNING !!! Basically our brief this year is to provide:-

A good off road site with camping on site or close to a proper campsite which offers proper facilities including showers and hopefully also close to a Holiday Inn / Travel Lodge type hotel for those who prefer a little more comfort ! The idea being that if we can provide these improved facilities close to a 4x4 course then maybe we can get a few more members of both groups to turn up !

BUT - REMEMBER !!!! THIS IS AN ANNUAL GROUP MEETING - It is NOT just an offroad meeting - anyone and everyone can come , regardles of whether you are going offroad or not ! The idea is to all get together for a social weekend - to meet people and chat, drink, eat and generally be sociable, you can beat your truck up on the course or go sightseeing in the local area or even vist relatives - THE IDEA IS TO GET TOGETHER FOR SOME FUN AND LAUGHTER and maybe try your hand at a bit of offroading if you feel like it! We want to make this a weekend to remember for all concerned - and we are prepared to put everything into organizing a superb weekend for you all -

BUT !

IT WILL ONLY BE AS GOOD AS THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO TURN OUT TO IT !!!!

Last year it was the same faces we get at all the meets with the exception of one or two, then new, members who came to see what we are about. One couple even turned up in thier Rover saloon because thier fronty was off the road ! ( Good On Yer ! ) Before the last event a lot of people were moaning that it was going to be an offroad weekend - well - all I can say is turn up - and make it what you want it to be ! that is the whole point of the weekend!-

For those new to off roading, all experienced members of muddy-fronteras & friends will be on hand to offer advice and recovery to all that attened, including some members offering a chance to be a passenger on the more difficult sections for those not brave enough to take shiney motors into the mud!

Any how - we need numbers - and we will be looking for CONFIRMED numbers a lot earlier than this years meeting - We will want all monies in by a certain date which WILL be several weeks before the event. This is one reason we are starting so early - There is always a possiblity of getting discounts for block-bookings at hotels and campsites/caravan parks - the more the merrier ! and the cheaper hopefully, but block bookings need to be made in advance.

So those who are interested and are likely to confirm please email either Mark ( mark@muddy-fronteras.co.uk ) or me ( andrew.burt2@ntlworld.com ) to register you interest. We would be looking for deposits to be paid hopefully before Christmas as we hope to have all arrangements in place by then.

If we do not get AT LEAST 30 vehicles put down deposits for this AGM - we wont bother arranging one ! ! ! ! ! This is YOUR weekend - Do something to preserve it and make it worthwhile ! IF YOU DONT THEN YOU WILL LOSE IT!
