I lost the first ballon as soon as I hit the A11, The second one made a successful bid for freedom about a mile down the road. I have the strings left if anyone wants them for nostalgia. Seems McDonalds balloons cannot cope with speeds in excess of 35 mph.

Balloons?

Here was RatCav's before they took a bid for freedom on the A11

And Rob's, which he still has (tho securely in his truck for the journey home!)

At the weekend I shall be mostly taking the carpet out of the front footwells and hanging it up to dry. I will then be mostly "engineering" a way to seal the holes around my gearsticks with a donated gearbox tunnel from Bob the Fronty.

Ok considering comments and messages via text etc etc. Lets have a damage list :D I will start.

RatCav

a) Inner wheel arch trim. It caught something (probably ice) behind it and made it stick proud where the front wheel caught it and now is stuck out catching the drivers front wheel on full lock (Don't panic Greg the arch flare is still there ;) )
b) Front carpet is sodden. It will have to be removed and dried out. Will definatly need replacing as modifications to the gearbox tunnel is needed to prevent MAJOR water ingress when wading, therefore the carpet will have to adjusted to suit :D
c) New brake pads all round. The dash brake light came on and led to discovering low fluid. No leaks so pads must be well worn. Time for a new set all round me thinks.
d) Handbrake failed. Well it still pulls and operates, but the low pads means that I will have to sell yet another tarnished fragment of my soul to set it up again once the brakes are overhauled.
e) Heater control lights work intermittantly. I think some water got behind there and is causing issues. Will have to pull it out and give it a look-see.

The n/s side repeater light poped out and its lenses is now sitting on the dash.
The steering play hasn't got any better at all lol. Clearly having a new (to me) steering box and idler on the back seat doesn't help as much as I had hoped lol.
Water drained from the foot wells by the time we got home...stinks a little more now tho
Also have a really nasty rumble when I turn right which would imply the n/s bearings...but I only changed them last week so u bloody hope not! I know the o/s bearing needs changing soon but doesn't rumble that much when i turn left :| very confused.

I would like to thank all that turned up on Sunday.
I had a fantastic day. ( I really don't like writing reviews  )
The only damage to my trucks was a small bracket that holds the bottom of the front wing. Going through the puddles caused the bracket to pull away from the wing. So one new nut and bolt fitted today repair done
