Essex/Herts Laning day 26th February

Postby BadBoy on Wed Feb 08, 2012 12:25 am

I will be running a laning day on the Herts/Essex border on Sunday 26th February

Meet will be 9.30am at the services M11 J8 (Bishops Stortford) - postcode CM23 5QZ, for a 10.00 start, returning around 5pm.
Most of the lanes should be suitable for all and are good mix of surfaces from grass to gravel, however some of the lanes will be a bit scratchy so this day will not be suitable for you if you keep your truck nice & shiney - sorry.
No lunch stop has been planned, but I can work a pub stop in if requested, otherwise it's bring your own lunch box.

Unless a second leader volunteers this day will be limited to 6 cars maximum to comply with GLASS code of conduct.

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE!

Only ford I know near Duxford is the one in Hinxton, which is rarely more than a splash.
I have thrown a few fords in but TBH most are only water splashes, but from memory 1 could be interesting. Momentum will be your friend if it's as I expect

Sunday's good for me also. I only picked Saturday as some locals seem to prefer Saturday

If Bushwacker can confirm he can do it then we'll change it to Sunday. PM Sent.

Hopefully that will give Robfog time to get his manual hubs fitted and his name down to try them out

Hi Pete,
Yes I can squeeze another 1 in.
If Fudge can make it he has offered to lead a group so no problems. If he can't then there will still be six of us.

I've still not heard from Bushwacker, and due to the numbers now wanting Sunday vs Saturday it would appear that moving it is the only sensible thing to do.

So this will now happen on Sunday 26th
