Re: 9th of july picsthanx and it was a brill day. there was plenty more pics but the missus was bouncing around the car lol so there all blurred. will have to see if i can get my hands on a shock proof camera
Thanx, Andy
Re: 9th of july picsSecond what Reccy said - massive thanks to John for organising and his lads for their navigation skills and gate opening/shutting efforts. Good to meet everybody and thanks for welcoming me to your playground, and what a playground it is. Over the years, I driven through the Peak District on the main drags a few times, but to be able to experience the real beauty of it from up on top and in amongst it in it's raw beauty off the beaten track is something else. I reckon we clocked getting on for 100 miles doing actual lanes and hoping from one spot to the next so that shows the vastness of the Peaks and the quality of the laning that's on offer.
I'll check out and upload my pictures in the week when I get home. Need to that sort that stuff on my desktop. Final note, apologies for the late arrival (my satnav needs a few updates so as to see a few of the newer junctions around the Notts/Derby areas). Re: 9th of july picsA big thanx to Johnboy for sorting out the route.Thanx to the lads and steve for the gates. Just a shame we didnt have enough time to do the full route but think we would still be out there now if we did. Cracking day and nice to see some new faces. Just need to get the rad sorted now as its got worse after the run. Top day out.

Re: 9th of july picsHere goes with my additions to the photo gallery.
Just like to point out alot of the stills are taken with my left hand holding the steering wheel and my right hand hanging out of the window trying to take pics (mainly scenic) but here goes anyway: And the one handed vids Last edited by Retro Pedro on Mon Jul 18, 2011 9:43 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: 9th of july picsWell It wasnt on the 9th for me....but the 15th....but here are 2 vids from the ford.....and some photos
Note the bollard at the end of the 1st vid.........now what idiot put that there!! - Then if you look cairfully you'l see the dent in the rear 1/4 at the end of the second vid Only had about 10mm clearence between that rock and my rear diff.....Hence why I want 33s And I felt the need to push against the passengers seat to keep me from falling out of mine on this lane For the rest of the pics.....http://s754.photobucket.com/albums/xx18 ... 2015-7-11/ My 2.8 shorty - now sold, and comments here My old dti - now sold "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW --- What a Ride!" Re: 9th of july picsGlad you was able to get there in the end Hipo - well worth the trip.
Re: 9th of july picsLooking at that dent in that picture it isn't that bad to be honest. Block of wood and a hammer. Followed by some filler and a lick of paint should sort it out.
