What's the chances of being a late addition to your reserve list?
Is the start point easily reachable from Grantham, Lincs.
Subject to a space becoming available, what the plan would be is book an hotel room at the daughters house in Grantham, dump the old lady off at the daughters for the weekend and then have a blinding day out laning with you guys in the Peaks. Been up that way a few times in the civvy car (Alton Towers excursions with the kids) and seen the scenery but never had the chance to drive it off road. Deffo on the to do list some time.

There you paul youron the list  as for the star and finish point if you use ashbourne as a rough starr point and buxton as a rough finish point it won't be far out but with road and lanes i'd give a rough guess of about 60-70 miles will be covered during the day :D

i will wait for john to confirm but most the lanes shouldn't need anything done to your air intake as i think they should be dry :D

Cheers guys - but I've actually dropped a ricket - the plan was to use the daughters place in Grantham for an overnight stay on the preceding Friday. Trouble is she will be away on her hols so that's p1ssed on that bonfire. Result would mean me driving up to Ashborne in the early hours of Sat morning then doing a days laning - reckon I might be a bit knackered at the end of it.
I think the fair thing to say is that if somebody wants the slot then let them take priority - but if it is still open at the final list closing, then I might say sod it and might find a Premier Lodge of something before driving back on the Sunday.

Hi John Boy - I have sent you a P.M.

Basically overnight stay circumstances have now change. I AM able to make this day out should a slot become available for me. I got the date wrong for when daughter returns from her hols so I have got the overnight stays sorted OK. Fingers crossed that I can get on the list.
