do not attempt this lane ,

it opened on the 1/5/10 , and due to the weather ofer the last week this lane was undo-able unless you are in a fully tricked up land-rover ,hate to admit it guys, but 3 of us went in frontys, all with off-road tyres and non of us managed it, at one point one of the fronty's were all four waters and sills stuck underwater and it was actually sinking in the mud took 2hours to get him out, we didnt even get alf way threw the lane before bailing out half way down , my frontera ended up on its side banked against a wall of mud in a 4ft rut, it was a crazy day,
looking back tho it was a good day, if you like getting stuck i would def recomend this lane ,

Any lane in that condition should not be attempted by anyone, that is unless you want the lane closed.

Please do not advertise lanes in that condition on FOG unless you are warning others of the condition to advise against using the lane.

This is not what we like to see,

if you like getting stuck i would def recomend this lane ,

It sends out the wrong signals to new laners and members, we are not about ripping up the countryside.

Some good educational reading here

sorry mate, but it's not about being bubble wrapped, it's about keeping the lanes open so we can all enjoy them legally. If a lane is in a bad state of repair it should be reported to the council who will get round to repairing it.

Our rights of way need to be looked after or they get closed permanently...simple as that...

Nothing to do with bubblewrapping, just a duty of care that most of the offroading community adopt so that next year we still have somewhere to go...

Wreckin these lanes, or driving them when they are in a really bad condition, only stands to give the councils the excuse they need to close them, and then everyone misses out...

Got to say mate, I reckon you would do better going to a paynplay not adding to the damage that our byways suffer if you wanna play in mud, as thats not really what laning is all about...

Like it or not, we as a group are all about preserving our rights of way so we have got em to enjoy for years to come, so expect hostile responses from members if you continue to post about wreckin something that belongs to everyone...

Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again...
She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body...
Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer!

The lane is in a bad way but that is mainly due to the farmer based at the top of the lane! it is a seasonal lane with locked gates but when it is closed the farmer still uses it in his tractor through the winter thats why the ruts are so deep!
Cheers Phil
