Green Laning Nr Romsey

Postby Sizer on Mon Mar 15, 2010 2:26 pm

Just got a Fronty and would like to do a little Green laning. Ive looked on various maps but am unsure on the symbols (red dotted lines with a diamond?? ... OK to drive??)

What Im after is something pretty easy for a first time run, any suggestions??

Plenty near you actually. Have a look in Southern section for the laning trip I did last Autumn.
On the OS maps you want to look for green crosses (I think) and Hants Council does have an online map version.

The only big suggestion is not to go alone. I'll dig out a little more info when I finish work

I suspect I may have used one of the Kings Somborne lanes on my last trip. See here for more details clicky link. That was started off from the Rapids, and we eventually called time at Hook, after going by way of Basingstoke and Whitchurch. Nothing terribly taxing, but some good lanes nonetheless.

Yup, that looks ideal for a starter although Im not keen on scratching up the paintwork...hopefully nothing a good MOP wont sort out come selling time!

Or if I get my stickers done that should protect most of it.
