Taken from the CRAG website. As the state of the first, rocky, section of this lane, by the stream, is getting increasingly worse, could we all consider avoiding it until repairs have been effected? On Saturday 22nd, I am aware of three vehicles ending up in the stream, and on Sunday 23rd, when it was wet, more of the same happened. In effect, it is now happening EVERY weekend, and the house occupants are getting increasingly angry about their water supply being polluted on a regular basis by 4x4 drivers, and quite understandably, too! Wrexham Council are aware of the situation, and are fully behind our proposals to repair the roadway. Paul is currently liaising with them to get something arranged (so, there will shortly be a call for volunteers!!! ) There are other routes over into the Valley that could easily be incorporated into route planning, so, hopefully we could all do that until repairs have been completed? The condition of the road from above this section over to Llanarmon DC is fine, and there's no reason why that bit should be affected.
Just a thought but, if in agreement, could this be publicised on other forums so that usage can be reduced as much as possible, and we are seen to be making an effort?
