Re: greenlaning in Sussex?Yes! There are some great ones in crowbourgh and rotherfield. Also there are some small but fairly fun ones in laughton (near Ringmer)
Re: greenlaning in Sussex?PM Sent,
Could be interested, depending on when. Try Jim. He's been sorting things out down your way, and I think he's planning something for after the Feb weekender. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: greenlaning in Sussex?Watcha Gareth - Crowborough and Rotherfield are right on my doorstep so would be interested in tagging along and checking out the local territory if laning was arranged for that area.
Crowborough is about 5 miles away from the Second World War bunkers that were illustrated in the associated post if you wanted to include a visit to that site.
Re: greenlaning in Sussex?Hi guys....in case you didnt notice, gareth posted this nearly a year ago....
Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4
Re: greenlaning in Sussex?
Might give it a miss then, but could still add it to the itinery for 2010 if anyone's still interested? Was going to suggest a laning day, Herts/Essex for April sometime too to make it a bit easier for those in the SE north of the Thames Got a really good route of BobbinJob's last year which I'd love to try, but for safety (knowing some of the lanes) there's no way I can do it on my own as the risk of getting stuck in mud it too great. Will start a new post after the Febuary weekender if anyone's interested in that? Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines

Re: greenlaning in Sussex?Maybe East Sussex is an area that I could do some investigating and perhaps later in the year organising a laning day.
What is the best way to find info on byeways/green lanes etc. I'm thinking more on location and legalities to see if lanes are still open to motor traffic, I could alway go and do the reccies to see if they are passable myself.
Re: greenlaning in Sussex?start off at local council there the ones that say if BOAT is legal

Re: greenlaning in Sussex?
This could be up your street then. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=30531 Should be a few less trees that our own site, so safer for learning how to use 4wd and how to drive off road. Just add your name to the list, and I think Greg will contact all on it a few days before hand. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
